is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership organization that was founded in
1998. Our mission is to promote safe bicycling for everyday
transportation and recreation.

traffic, and benefiting personal and public health.

Bicyclists promotes bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation and

The League represents the interests of the nation's 42 million

SSCC is a public/private partnership whose aim is to educate and
assist both public and private sector fleet owners and individuals. The
specific purposes for which SSCC exists are to help meet the
requirements of the national Energy Policy Act of 1992, aimed at
promoting national energy security; and to help meet the requirements of
the federal Clean Air Act, as amended in 1990, aimed at promoting clean
air in this urban environment.
